Link Dump: show your work
January 20th 2008 -
Via metafilter, I discover a thread where Warren Ellis instructed indie creaters to introduce their work. The result is four pages of Indie comics previews that will choke your dial-up modem like a chesterfield down a boa-constrictor.
The Journal of Women on Comics is accepting submissions on the topic of (strangely enough) comics, written by women. The deadline is February 29, so clean out your sock-drawer for articles you may have written.
ETA: Ginger Mayerson, in the comments, points out that I’ve made it sound like she’s looking for commentary on women-written comics, when in fact she is looking for woman-written commentary on comics. Sorry!

Actually, The Journal of Women on Comics is a little more general than women writing about comics created by women, which is how I read that at first. It’s comics criticism and blogging by women, which would include, but not be limited to, writings about comic created by women. If I’ve really muddied the waters, and the webpage doesn’t clear it up, drop me a line at editor AT j-woc DOT info or leave a comment on the site Thanks, Ginger.

Oh, PS. Thank you for the link, and, yes, everyone please do send me your essays, blog posts, whatnot on the template (see webpage), which will speed things up considerably. Thanks again!

Whoops, sorry, I realize I’ve phrased that unclearly. Hopefully my edit makes it clear.
