I am delighted and reassured by the retconning of Stephanie Brown’s appalling murder, and the confirmed return of her character (as Spoiler) to the pages of Robin. While this does not erase the terrible events of War Games (some of which, like the death/disappearance of Gotham’s only Black protectors, have yet to be addressed) nor the originally dismissive and demoralising responses by several DC personnel to those pointing out the inequality inherent in a lack of memorial for Stephanie, it is encouraging to see that DC has listened to fans and has finally taken their concerns seriously.

As the hints of a return grew, Project Girl Wonder was archived - now I am happy to declare that it has been formally retired. Girl-Wonder.org, of course, will keep running so long as there are issues of inequality in comics to address, and the will to address them from this space.
